To save time, we took a short flight from Potosi to Santa Cruz.
Highland.
Hills and Meandering River.
Transition from Highland to Lowland.
Santa Cruz City - the biggest city in Bolivia.
"Santa Cruz de la Sierra, commonly known as Santa Cruz, is the capital of the Santa Cruz department in eastern Bolivia and the largest city in the country.[1] Situated on the river Piray in Eastern Bolivia, the city of Santa Cruz and its metropolitan area are home to over 70% of the population of the department[3] and it is one of the fastest growing cities in the world.
Nowadays, the city is the most populated, and the Department of Santa Cruz, rank second in total population, produce nearly thirty five percent of Bolivia's gross domestic product, and receive over forty percent of all the foreign direct investment in the country. This has helped make Santa Cruz the most important business center in Bolivia and the preferred destination of migrants from all over the country"
Santa Cruz is "under-whelming".
There is nothing special about it, except its weather is as hot and humid as Singapore.
Plaza.
Clock-tower.
(My first time seeing how the mechanism work)
Chinese Restaurant.
The lady boss speaks Cantonese (A Chinese dialect) while we speak Mandarin. She does not understand english as well, so PY had to communicate with her in Spanish. It is quite an irony that 2 Chinese got to use Spanish as a means of communication.
My First Chinese Food in South America!
It was delicious.
